传记 : Armor For Sleep

Armor for Sleep is an American band from Maplewood and Teaneck, New Jersey. Lead singer Ben Jorgensen recorded the first ever Armor for Sleep songs in exchange for $100 at a nearby recording studio, playing all the instruments by himself, after leaving the band Random Task, in which he played drums. The original line up of Armor For Sleep included two of Ben\'s high school friends AJ Resnick and Paul Abrahamian. Later on Ben and Anthony fired AJ and Paul, and asked Nash Breen, drummer of Prevent Falls, to join Armor for Sleep. Nash quit Prevent Falls and asked his cousin, P.J. DeCicco, also of Prevent Falls to come with him to Armor for Sleep.

The band was originally signed to Equal Vision Records and released their first two albums with them, but as of April 2006, Armor for Sleep are now signed to Warner Brothers/Sire Records.

A Machine Shop remix of their track \"Remember to Feel Real\" was featured on the Snakes on a Plane soundtrack in August of 2006.

The band entered the Mix Room Studios in December 2006 to begin work on its third album, titled \"Smile for Them\". However, they have yet to reveal a thrust for the concept, Ben is on record saying it will focus on real-world issues instead of the afterlife or dream world of the band\'s first two albums.[1]

In March 2007, Armor for Sleep changed their website from being very interactive to having only a long video. The video consisted of a computer at a desk in what seems like a bedroom. The screen saver activates and shows a quote from Chuck Palahniuk\'s novel, Survivor : \"The bad news is we don't have any control. The good news is you can't make any mistakes.\" The quote alludes to the concept of their upcoming album.[citation needed]

The band had a new track entitled \"End of the World\" on the soundtrack to the 2007 Transformers film, which was released on July 3, 2007.

On June 18, 2007, the band posted a new song on their MySpace entitled \"Williamsburg.\"

Their third full length album Smile for Them was released on October 30, 2007.

2008 sees Armor For Sleep on Linkin Park\'s summer Projekt Revolution tour. They are featured on the Revolution Stage with Atreyu, 10 Years, Hawthorne Heights, and Street Drum Corps.
