传记 : Yamo

Yamo, The music project was founded in 1992 by Wolfgang Flür - unplanned in front of the background of the Bosnain war. The song “Little Child“ developed in this coherence as first work together with youg artists from the Rhineland area after Wolfgangs split from the electro pioneers. The name “Jamo“ was put together by Wolfgang from the capital letters of the singer of that time. - Nina Moers. Later it only had to be changed the initial letter of the name because of a speaker company of same name.

“Ya“ – a positive initial syllable and synonymous for Wolfgang's new project - was pleasing him at once, because it fitted to his general life attitude. Yamo is not a band in conventional style but platform for Flür's lyrics which he sets to music with artists whom he is friendly with. A project where Flür sees himself as musical producer who discovers artists from differentest genres and connects and presents them. The director of the musical travel circus proclaims: “It can ever be new who will be engaged into the next program and how it will be presented. Yamo is extremely flexible listener-business.“
After Wolfgang directed his debut “Time Pie“ together with the elctronic-duo “Mouse on Mars“, he composes and arranges today with partner Stefan Lindlahr in his studio.

For giving the new Yamo album necessary vocal-beauty, Wolfgang has invited the singer Nina Deli (MYLO) und Miriam Suarez (A SOLAS SIM MI), for lending the album the intended “ELOQUENCE“. As well counted in is the electro-duo Manfred Hermann and Jon Kaiser (TANGA) from Berlin, Giorgio Li Calzi (TECH SET) from Milano together with Michael Mertens and Susanne Freitag (PROPAGANDA) Düsseldorf / Hastings UK.Additional to Wolfgang Flür's new book, the singel “I WAS A ROBOT“ appeares together with re-mixes from Andrè Pollmann (TONGUT) / Swiss and the Berlin duo TANGA. This edition is limited on 1500 copies, numbered, and completely hand signed by Wolfgang. A club-vinyl is in progress, it is already to be dealed with international DJ's for further re-mixes.

Flür understands his book not necessarily as Kraftwerk book, as it is often assumed. It is more an report on his musical life which already started long before Kraftwerk and which goes far away from this periode into the future. Today Flür is happy for having found his own musical form. Wolfgang has developed into a story teller and presenter. He still loves the old synthesizers but also the modern vocoder working – tailored to his very own style – for which is helping partner Stefan with diverse tricks and extravagant computer hours. The producer-duo Flür / Lindlahr shape the current head of Yamo.
